Ele virou figura fácil nos tapetes vermelhos e também nas passarelas – e vem, aos poucos, ganhando as ruas. O peplum, aquele volumezinho semelhante a uma microssaia na altura da cintura, é tendência absoluta e já angariou fãs como Kate Middleton e Eva Mendes. 
Engana-se quem pensa que o peplum é novidade na praça. Apesar do boom evidente, a silhueta surgiu em 1947, quando Christian Dior devolveu a feminilidade das mulheres do pós-guerra ao criar o “New Look”, uma das grandes revoluções da história da moda. Além da “sainha” fofa, o visual trazia tailleurs e saias amplas. 

Sejamos francos: apesar de lindo, o peplum não é uma tendência democrática.
